The 20 Most Powerful and Influential Celebrities

Forbes Magazine released its 14th annual Celebrity 100 ranking of the 100 wealthiest and most powerful celebrities in the world.  According to the magazine, “The Celebrity 100 measures money and fame, including estimated earnings over the last 12 months, and how often each celebrity is mentioned in print, on TV and in social media,” the report adds. “Earnings consist of pre-tax income between June 1, 2012, and June 1, 2013.”
In order to create the list Forbes used E-Poll Market Research which ranks more than 6,600 celebrities on 46 different personality attributes based on their polling data of Americans.  Since this list couldn’t solely be measured by money, in order to break and potential ties,  likability and awareness factor metrics were also provided by the polling firm.  Not quite sure how you measure “likeability” but we’ll take the firm at it’s word since we’re not spending 1000s of hours analyzing this stuff.
To guess who number one is actually is quite simple if you think about it for around 6 seconds.  However, some on the list might surprise you.   Lord knows a Justin Bieber didn’t surprise me but it still bothered me quite a bit.  Check out the top 20 in our gallery below.  The list is in descending order and names are beneath each picture though you most likely know all of these people…..

This is a true story.  Back in 1998 I was a sophomore in college and I videotaped (yes videotaped) the Britney Spears video “Hit me Baby one more Time.”  I told my friends that this little hottie was going to be a big star.  I mean clearly I couldn’t have nor could anyone really predict the path of Britney Spears but one this is for sure:  15 years later she’s still doing her thing and is a huge success.
